Am I reading everything correctly? If I were to order a new Gryphon CTS and 2 custom tunes, the CTS would ship rather quickly with the canned tunes. Then the custom tunes would come later when Bill gets to them right?


Do you have to download the custom tunes? If you do, how do you do that without downloading new firmware and potentionaly messing the custom tunes up?

Yes, the unit should ship to you faster if you get it with the canned tunes. When it comes, install Fusion (off the CD that ships with the unit) and establish a Fusion account. Then, simply connect it to Fusion to download any firmware updates. You don't have any custom tunes to overwrite at this time.

Register your unit with Edge, and they should email you if any new firmware updates are available. Install them immediately.

When Bill notifies you your custom tunes are ready, connect to Fusion and install those. Do NOT do any firmware updates after this until Bill works out how to handle the problem of firmware updates replacing custom tunes.

So as long as you have the most recent update of firmware, you can get the custom tunes. But if an update come out AFTER your custom tunes are in, stay away from fusion for now
