Hi,
I have just installed my Gryphon CS and when powered on the unit cannot load the VIN number from the Computer
I tryed the Fusions software and it updated to the latest but would not accept the Vin number saying it was incorrect
i Tryed to enter the Vin number manually no go
Does anyone have any ideas?

Ugh! Since you're down in the land of 'roos, I'm guessing you have the steering wheel on the "proper side" as opposed to the "sinister side" like we yanks have it?

If that's the case, I expect your VIN number would not match anything Edge has preloaded and I suspect what you are entering has the wrong "form".

I know from a previous post that it's sometimes possible to "fool" the unit by entering a VIN that is slightly different. Here's a link to the VIN breakdown that Bill posted. Power Hungry Performance Forum - FAQ: General Automotive FAQs

As you see, it only covers models made in the US, Canada or Mexico. It's possible you could fool it into thinking your truck was US made.

But, to be safe, I think you should call Edge Tech Support. They might be able to help you right away, and I suspect they will be easier to reach than Bill. Since you're in Canberra, you're 7 hours earlier than Utah time, so you'd have to call them between 0100 and 1000 your time, Tues - Sat (since you're a day ahead).

It might be easier to get your answer by email though. Here's the "contact us" page: Edge Products| Contact us As you see, you can fill out a request there. You'll see that some of the items on the forum won't work for you, so you'll have to "lie" and correct the information in the "comments" area. DO include YOUR VIN and any thing else you think might be important. It's Saturday here now, so if you were to submit this today, you MIGHT get a response in two days?

I wish I could be of more help. Possibly, there's another Aussie in the forums whose had a similar problem and gotten it fixed.

I sent an email to Edge and recieved this responce 'We do not, tune, nor support the griffyn. You will have to contact php.Edge Products Technical Support "

It's a edge evo cs, it's the same product isn't it?

Yes, it IS an Edge Evolution CS. You simply bought it from PHP, who is an authorized dealer. If you've had it connected to Fusion, I think you have Edge's tunes now too, regardless of what you had before.

They should have been willing to talk to you. I'm actually surprised and just a bit unhappy that they didn't.

I'll alert Bill to your problem in the Moderator's forum too.

I think Edge was just trying to pass the proverbial buck since the issue is with THEIR software.

Just talked with Bill. Can you please PM or e-mail me the serial number off your unit? By using that and the VIN (which I have from your e-mail), Bill can take care of you.

Two thumbs up for Edge Products! One of their engineers addressed this problem and updated the CS & CTS firmware to address Geoff's issue. At the moment, it is targeted only to this customer.
