Default Too Hot for the CTS to work?

Went out to the truck to make a quick run to the Sonic for Lunch. Started tuck and the CTS never came on. After about a 10 minute drive I got to the Sonic and just as I pulled up to the Speaker I saw the CTS booting up. Left it running while it finished up and everything seemed to be OK. Turned the truck off placed mt order and after I got my Meal, Cranked back up without any problems.

I would have though with the windshield mount that these units would have been capable of withstanding the heat.

Almost any LCD screen device that's subjected to heat will not function until it cools off. I'd recommend you get a windshield shade if the truck is parked in the sun.

I bet if you felt the device after it had sat in the sun, it might have been hot enough to burn your hand. While I've never heard of lasting damage due to solar heating, I can't imagine this is good for the overall health of the unit.
