Default Gryphon vs Phoenix

In deciding between a Gryphon or Phoenix, I had a couple of questions. First, it seems that the Gryphon tunes and Phoenix tunes can be set up identically. In other words, any tune the Phoenix can do, the Gryphon can do and vice versa. Is this correct? Also, would it be safe to say that the respective tunes, and their performance, in either product would be indistinguishable from one another? If so, do the list of differences below pretty much sum up what makes them unique:

- The Gryphon can pull codes unlike the Phoenix (can it pull all codes like an AE?)
- You must stop and load the tune on the Gryphon rather than shift on the fly like the Phoenix.
- Gryphon plugs into OBD port rather than in back of ECM

Thanks for any help!

yeah you basically have it, I would add you can have up to 6 tunes on the Phoenix. Not sure how many fit on the new Gryphons as I haven't used one
AE and Gryphon are no comparison when it comes to what they can do, AE does so much more than pull codes... it is definitely worth the expense to get AE and Phoenix if you do any of your own wrenching. AE will also do OBD II on all 1996 and newer cars. if down the road you add another vehicle you can just buy the enhanced kit for that make

Thx for the info! I was just hoping that if my trucks CEL came on, I could at least pull the code with a Gryphon and see what it was doing. I knew also that not all OBD scanners could pull all the PSD codes, but the Gryphon should be able to right? Thanks again.
