Default CS/CTS pids

I've heard several people saying that the new units don't display the oil temp., and other PID's on the 6.0L diesels. Some said this was only temporary, and was going to be updated as soon as Edge got around to it. Is this true, or does PHP already have that problem taken care of? Oil temp is a big deal on the 6.0L's as you know. THX

I heard that on the diesel stop forum. There were several very upset customers who just bought their units. They said it was some problem that the CTS couldn't read their VIN's, and therefore couldn't "tell" their trucks were diesels. They said Edge was working on something to update them, but didn't know when that was going to happen. Anyways thanks for the info, now I feel better and will keep saving my coin to get one from Bill.

The only thing Bill is allowed to do on the CS+CTS is custom tunes.
He doesn't have access to the firmware where this change would be needed to be taken care of.
If this is a problem then edge will have to take care of it.

Edge has confused many with the CS/CTS because it is available as a programmer which PHP sells with Custom programs. This model is called "Evolution". The "Insight" model is the one with the problem PID's. Edge has released new firmware to up grade the "Insight" to read all the PID's. The biggest problem was from the '03 and early '04s PSD because the "Insight" could not read the VIN to set the PID's.
