Default CTS upgrade for an old calibration

I bought a Edge CTS and I heard it can be upgraded to a Gryphon. I ordered a custom tune yesterday. My CTS for the last few weeks is not supported by Edge. They told me that the calibration file is too old and will not be supported. Can I still get a custom tune. They said I will have to probably get my PCM reflashed by the dealer but they want 50 bux to do it. That would be an investment of 640 bux without the custom tune.

I moved your post so that you'd have a better chance at getting things looked at. The OP is the priority in the thread so sometimes piggyback posts dont get addressed properly.

First we need some info on your truck like year, model, engine and whatnot. Have you gone through the process of upgrading the programmer yet? It sounds like you haven't but that will need to be done before you order custom tunes for it.

Are you saying the unit worked when you first got it and has now stopped working? This does not make sense. If it worked at all once, Edge is not going to stop supporting that calibration. And, if it never worked, you should be able to return it for a full refund.

Let me clarify. The CTS I have hasn't ever been able to program my truck. I have updated it lots of times after edge has targeted my CTS but to no avail. It only works as nice gauges at this time but I would like to get the programming functionality. Edge told me finally yesterday after working with them for a month that they probably wont have support for my current calibration since it is part of an old family of calibration codes. The requested that I go in and get it reflashed which I may do Saturday but I hate taking it in. I have ordered a custom tune but will probably need to call in to change it with a new calibration code if I get it flashed.

I have ordered the custom tune with all my information. I dont remember the confirmation #. I do not think I got it in an email. I can resubmit if needed.

As far as I know you wont get an email about your order until Corey gets it all looked at and sends you an invoice, which could take a day or two at worst. Dont resubmit until you at least talk to Corey on the phone to make sure that she got or didnt get your order. hope that helps and if you get your truck's pcm flashed soon you should be fine if you send up the new hex code asap! being it is taking more than a month to get tunes done you will be just fine if you get it flashed this weekend. I would double check with Bill before you go reflash it so that you dont spend money you dont have to, Bill might be able to program your truck without changing anything . Again I would call and check on all this before you do anything more . hope that helps!

I really think you need to talk to Bill about this. Either on the phone, which is hard, or perhaps in an interactive "chat" session: Support Login

Thanks everyone. The issue is heading in the correct direction now. Looks like edge will take care of making sure my calibration will be supported first. Then a custom tune can be created. Ill be ready.

Don't forget to keep in touch with PHP and to get them the correct info when everything is working on your end.
