got a cs gryphon on a 03 6.0. The batteries were drawn down and my brother says that it just switched back from level 2 to level 0. Now i cant reprrogram and i get a checksum error for the ecm code. so any ideas? sorrry for lack of info, i didnt get much else out of him. I am assuming its just something bill will have to go in and work his magic, but just in case anybody had an idea i thought i'd post on here.

Sean,
I'll have to talk with Edge about that. I've not run into a situation with a CS/CTS where the device spontaneously changed levels. I'll get in touch with them as soon as I can and see what the best procedure is to correct the issue. In the mean time, it might also helpful to call Edge directly and explain to them the situation. It might help get this resolved more quickly. Also, you haven't updated your User CP to reflect your current calibrations. When you have a moment, please get that cleared up so we don't make any boo-boos if we have to do a recovery. ![]() Talk to you soon.

Bill,
I will update the cp when i get home this weekend. Dad says the that he has a new alternator on the way, as it sounds like that is the reason it was drawing down real low voltage. On the other hand, the truck i had you re-do the ficm and ecm is not running so well, it starts okay, but the surging is still there, and when letting the clutch out it seems like its lacking low-end grunt, almost more like a gassser where you have to rev it up a little. Thanks for the quick response and sorry for the delay in mine! ![]() Sean |

Also, I'd disconnect the CS at the OBDII port if you're going to be playing with the charging circuit. I'd leave it unplugged until the new alternator is installed and you've verified that you have good battery reserve with the engine shut off. If the alternator was defective, it is very likely your battery(s) are also damaged.
