Default Noob warning: Question about CS

Does the price on the website for a Gryphon CS (2006 F150 4.6L) include any tunes or are they extra? I have emailed PHP, guess they are real busy and haven't had a chance to respond. Thought one of you could answer it since you purchased one!

That price only includes the programmer, cable, and suction cup mount. The tunes are extra, and are $30 each if you order them with the gryphon. They will be sent to you later to be directly downloaded to you Gryphon from their server through your computer. If you have XP then you will have no problems with it, Vista and 7 can be problematic depending on your machine and the day of the week , haha ok maybe not that bad, but XP seems to work better than the others, but if you have a mac, then go find a friend with XP to download the tunes
Hope I answered your question, and a few more

Yes it did....THANKS! Now I have a few more, as I said I am a tuner NOOB! When I order the CS, will it have the canned tunes on it until I get the custom tunes? I have seen where the CS can have more tunes that it used to, does the custom tunes over write the canned tunes or can you keep all of them?

I appreciate you all helping me out!

The CS will come with canned tunes installed, which you can use right away. When your custom tunes are ready, you download them and install them into the CS using the Fusion application, which runs on a Windows PC.

As far as overwriting the canned tunes, I don't really know. This is all new (the ability to have more than the original number of tunes). It is something Bill will have to answer.

(a little history...)

Bill uploaded my 2 custom and 1 PHP canned tune last Friday.

I flashed to the custom 87 performance on Saturday morning - truck would start, then die. E-mailed Bill and opened a trouble ticket on Saturday (or Sunday).

He told me he had to look into it and would have to upload my tunes again (another customer was having the exact same problem). During our e-mail exchange, I asked if he would allow me to keep the canned Edge tunes (3) as well as the custom 87 performance, 87 tow, and PHP canned 93 performance.

Well yesterday morning I get another e-mail that the issue is resolved.

I'm pretty sure we got everything straightened out. I found a bug in the compiler that was causing an address shift in the data and ultimtely boogered up the build information. Everything looks good now and you file is ready for download.
I updated my CTS with Fusion yesterday at lunch and guess what?!

(wait for it...)

I now have 6 tunes/levels (plus stock)!

Anyway, it can be done.

GOOD! I wonder how many tunes a CTS will hold, just for curiosity's sake?
