Default CTS Loading gauges then goes blank.

So has anybody ever have this happen to them?

I was on my way to pick up my daughter from Kindergarten...I get in the truck and start it, my CTS goes through initialization, goes to my gauge screen where it says "Loading", then goes blank. So I check all the connections and everything seems normal, touch the screen and it goes through the same process...then blank. So I check the connections again, this time unplugging from the OBDII and reconnecting, this time it loads and stays on.

Did I just have a bad connection (maybe I bumped it or something) on the OBDII end? I haven't had a chance to go out and check it since I got home.

Skip, I've never had this problem with mine. Was it cold?

Maybe, there was a poor connection or, possibly the battery is starting to get weak? Unplugging it and replugging with success makes me think one of those two possibilities.

Cold was definitely not an issue with this particular situation. When I'm at work, the truck regularly sees temps in the 20's and that is when I would expect to see something like this, but today was around 50 when I got in the truck. I'm leaning towards just the poor connection as the truck is brand new...2060-2075 miles on it...so there is no reason for the battery to be getting low. I have the battery voltage alert set at 12.6v and there was no indication that it was close, but I wasn't monitoring that parameter directly.

I went out and put my new plates on today and messed with the connection after I posted the first post, and didn't see anything abnormal, but I'm thinking maybe I brushed the cable just enough to effect the connection. All that said, I'm still curious if anybody else has had this situation, or knows what is up. I just wish these cables actually locked in place.

I have a CS, but have had a similar problem. Only had the unit for a little over a week, but a few times this had happened. I'll get in and start my truck but the unit never turns on. If I turn my truck off and then back on everything works fine. Something I should be worried about?? Other than this I've had zero issues with my CS thus far.

Make sure the fuse for the cigarette lighter is seated...

Eventhough the truck is new the pins in the obdll connection could be loose and not getting fully seated....

If the problem persists fill out a support ticket the link is in my Sig....
