Help1 Having two problems : Freezing and interimintant screen switch w/alarm

Recently, and progressively getting worse, i have been having freezing problems with my CS screen while going down the road. Is there a fix? Also I have been noticing a different screen than my selected gauge screen and gauges. Along with this issue I have been getting a single "beep" that happens while it changes screens. It does switch back eventually. Any ideas?

No ideas really. Do you already have your custom tunes? If not, have you connected the CS to Fusion to make sure you are working with the latest firmware? (Don't do this until you talk to Bill if you DO have custom tunes installed.)

Anything new and different with your truck or environment? And, when you say a "different screen", what is it showing? Is it cold? Is your battery good? (I'm just trying to rule out common causes of problems.)

Default hope this is all the answers

I do have my customs. the driving and environment is the same. and it is showing the "8 gauge screen" with about 3-4 "un-sensored" slots. and the slots that are filled it has moved from the original slots. the battery and temps were all good at time while i looked down at gauge, quick beeps.

OK, I've got no clue on this. It doesn't sound like you were getting an "alarm", from your description. I'm puzzled that you're using the 8-gauge layout if you are only monitoring 4-5 parameters, but that really shouldn't matter.

I guess if the problem persists, you'll need to submit a trouble ticket: Support Login

That's the best I can do.

Default Thanks and sorry

Sorry I wasn't more clear... My selected screen is a filled up 8-screen. When I get the quick beep it goes to another 8-screen and that one is the one that is missing 3-4 slots. Then eventually goes back to my 8-screen. This will also happen if I choose a different layout. I guess now I get to go bug Bill about my little bug.

Based on that, you are getting an alarm for a certain parameter. When it flashes to the "second" screen, is there anything flashing? I had an alert set on my CTS and the value was lower then normal operating levels, as soon as the truck started to warm up...ding, ding, ding I had an alarm for that.

Two options:
1. Figure out which parameter is tripping and change the alert value.
2. Turn off all of the alerts (which if you turn them all off, then re-activate them one at a time, it may help you with number 1).

Keep us posted.

Yep trying to find that issue. But there is no flashing and just one quick beep not several. Once I get my truck back I will try the clear all like you suggested. Thanks again.

Tiny, I like Skip's suggestion. It's been a long time since I saw an alert, so I can't recall how my CTS shows it (and I use the 5-gauge analog display too, so mine may be different).

But, go into the alert setting menu and disable all of them. If the problem goes away, there's an alert that's set too low (probably) and it's a value that you are crossing now and then while driving.
