Default I have an ordering question

I am seriously planning to order a Gryphon CS but wont have the funds for another month. I could swing the $120.00 to get the custom tunes I'm interested in started. Does anyone know if it would it's possible to order them now and the programmer around the middle of next month?

I Think, and emphasis on think, that Bill and Corey wouldn't have a problem with you doing that. I don't know that it has been done before, but I don't think it matters when you order the gryphon. It takes that long to get the tunes ready anyways, usually longer than a month actually.
My best advice would be to call and ask specifically if they will allow this, and if they can't do it, then put the money in an account where you won't spend it!

I know that Bill and Corey are happy to work with people's specific needs, but I don't see how you could do this. Bill cannot even start on your tunes until he has your PCM/ECM calibration code, and I don't see how you can get that unless you have the CS in your truck to tell you what it is.

I agree with Tico - put the money in an account where you won't spend it.

Bummer.

It's not really that I couldn't afford to order the whole thing but more of an agreement with my wife. I'm a volunteer firefighter and get a quarterly "stipend" meant to cover any expenses incurred responding to incidents. I usually spend it on the family since they put up with me disappearing all the time but I also use it to buy things she might not understand the need for . I just figured $120.00 to get the tunes going would slide under her radar.

Some advice you had a few days ago actually has considering another option but I'll save that for a new thread. Thanks for the help though!

I know when ordering a gryphon cs that you get the programmer with canned tunes before you submit your hex code to get the custom tunes, but I ordered about two weeks ago and I was wondering how long does it take to ship a stock cs

It shouldn't take long at all, if PHP has a CS in stock to send to you. For rather obvious reasons though, they cannot maintain a huge inventory of units for sale. So, if they have to order one from Edge, it could easily take two weeks or more depending on Edge's reaction time. I seem to recall it taking about that long when I decided to replace my older Gryphon with a CTS.

Then too, Corey normally handles the shipment process. You might have noticed she has not been on the forum for a while. I suspect her activities have been somewhat curtailed due to the ongoing health issues.

Please make another thread if you have a question because it gets tough to follow problems and questions when they are scatter through random threads.

Also, it might be faster to call them since many of use on the forum are not within shouting distance to ask or to find out ourselves.
