Gryphon™ CS and CTS Programmer Post here if you have a question or comment about the Gryphon CS (Color Screen) or CTS (Color Touch Screen) Programmer.

AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD YOUR CUSTOM TUNES, DO NOT PLUG YOUR PROGRAMMER BACK INTO FUSION, OR YOUR CUSTOM TUNES WILL BE ERASED!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU CONNECT TO FUSION FOR EDGE'S LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE, YOU WILL ERASE YOUR CUSTOM TUNES!

I can answer all of these!

The programmer IS sent to you with the canned (Edge) tunes installed. Bill was a major player in writing them, by the way, as a consultant to Edge. You can use those canned tune without worries while waiting for custom tunes.

You post your "hex"/"calibration" code here: Power Hungry Performance Forum in a thread you create that can only be seen by you, PHP, and the Mods. Please include your real name, Serial Number (S/N) of the programmer and anything else you wish to add. Once that data is entered here, Bill can write the custom tunes you want.

Bill works with Edge, so he can set up "targeted tunes" on the Fusion server. (Fusion is an internet application on your PC that accesses the server at Edge.) The tunes he sets up are targeted to your S/N. If you have a CS or a CTS and have a Fusion account (which you set up when you receive your programmer) connecting the programmer to your PC with Fusion running will automatically download and install any custom tunes you have ordered. Bill notifies you, of course, when the custom tunes are ready.

Did this set your mind at ease?

yes! thanks so much for all the useful info! so when i get the gryphon programmer it will have the canned tunes, do those tunes require 91 octane gas? or can i get away with 87? i am planning on getting the 87 performance, 87 tow, and 91 performance.

Nope, the only tune that requires anything more than 87 octane is labeled as 91 performance...but dont run 87 on the tune designed to run on 91.
