Going back to gotts mod with custom tunes!!
I have a Spectre CAI For my F150 5.4 3V 2008 and would like to go back to the Gotts mod.The temperatures that I get inside the tube of the intake seem high as high 140 degrees when sitting,Will I harm anything if I go back to the gotts mod even though my Gryphon is tuned for the CAI?I have 87 Custom Tow and 89 Custom Performance.

going back,....
Did you get an answer ?,....IMHO decreasing IAT would only help,....I did the Gotts mod and insulated the stock plastic intake with reflective heat wrap and tried to seal off the engine compartment from the air intake in the fender well as best possible,...the best running/moving air temps I get now are about 6 - 10 degrees higher than ambient
