Ok, I am a little confused. My CS was already upgraded to PHP with canned tunes (which I was told were better than Edge canned tunes). If I upgrade the firmware now, will I lose the PHP canned tunes and get Edge tunes? I want to get everything ready for when my custom tune is ready.

Also, I mentioned in the checkout process that I have a K&N CAI, will that be computed into my tunes (The custom and canned) also?

The canned tunes will not account for the CAI, and, as far as I know, the canned tunes on the CS/CTS platforms are pure Edge products. So, it should not be an issue if you connect the unit to Fusion to bring the firmware up to date. In fact, I would do that so that your custom tunes load properly when they are ready. PHP is pretty caught up with tunes now, so I don't expect you to have a long wait.

Be sure to set your truck back to stock before you connect the CS to your PC and Fusion though!

I registered my CS and updated the firmware. Now it will not read my MPG and it turns off when I turn my truck on and turns off when started. Infact, I had couldn't start my truck until I managed to reset it back to stock.

All right - it's normal for the unit to turn off during a starting sequence. The voltage is VERY low on all systems at that time due to the draw from the starter motor. Low voltage can damage digital systems like your sound system, the CS, a GPS and so on, so they are turned off during this interval.

Now, I'm confused. I thought I TOLD you to reset the truck to stock before you tried to update the firmware in the CS. Somehow, I'm getting the feeling you did not do that?

But, if you ARE able to start the truck now, and if the CS is able to load a tune, then all is well. *whew*

What "MPG" are you trying to monitor? As far as I know, the only MPG value it can see is "Inst MPG".

I DID reset it to stock prior to doing the update. I then put it back on the truck after the update and put it on level 2. The truck would not start. I put it back to stock and it started.

OK, did you see anything abnormal when you loaded the Level 2 tune? And, did you do it with a fully charged battery, all accessories off?

I don't really think there's any reason not to try loading the Level 2 tune again though, if you're sure your battery is healthy.

JackandJanet, I could use some help again lol. I received the email that my tune was ready and I connected it to fusion (after truck was returned to stock) and it said that no updates were available. Did I do something wrong?


UPDATE: Disregard, I hooked it back up to the truck and it had the PHP screen and the tune on it!

No, you didn't. When you plug the CS back into the truck, what are you seeing for a "splash screen"? If it's the old Edge screen, then nothing was downloaded. If you see a PHP screen, you've gotten your tunes.

If the tunes did not install, PHP will have to reset them on the server.
