Animatedmegaphone wont tune edge support no help what to do with new cs

ordered new cs recieived it today was going to install it this evening and plugged it in it displayed vehicle does not support fuel type ran it on fusion to see if it would up date no updates availabe so called edge they ran it on fusions again and told me to leave it on it would download update,the new firmware they had just fixed for it while i was on phone download completed just went to install on truck says same thing does not support fuel type i have 2010 f150 4.6liter any ideas or should i continue with programming was conserned it may not start or would mess up something help please

Please DO NOT try to program your truck if the device is reporting an error. This would be like doing brain surgery with an ax or a hammer. I know it's frustrating to you to have what seems to be a "paperweight" for a programmer, but hang in there. Either Edge or PHP will get this worked out. With Edge, you'll have to wait till tomorrow. If Bill at PHP sees this tonight, he MAY have some ideas.

In the meantime, try to enter as much information as possible into your User Profile. That will help Bill.

thanks for the reply talked to edge today said they have a tech working on issue will contact me when they fix it

Good! Thanks for adding what you could to your User Profile. (I understand why you can't enter the "hex/calibration" code.)

Don't be surprised if PHP gets involved in this. It all depends on their workload. My experience with Edge is that they are "slow". Don't be afraid to "ping" them in a day or so if you haven't heard anything.

u were right edge is slow talked to them on the 11th they say the tech started working on it the 9th but still nothing as of today

Sorry to hear about your wait......and probably wont comfort you to know that their big event is this weekend also...so they're all running around with their heads cut off getting ready for that....just be patient....

And, dj, I think you've been quite patient with Edge. Call them back. Tell them (nicely) that you've spent a lot of money for a useless programmer and would like some help. Don't "yell" at the guy you talk to, since it's not his fault, but, ask "when can you expect a useful response?" And, if he can't give you any reasonable estimate, ask about returning the unit. Squeaky wheels DO get greased. But the key is to maintain a non-confrontational attitude (which can be hard at times).

just got off phone with edge today (9-7-11) been waiting for fix over a month now they are telling me to take truck to dealer and have pcm reflashed there is a file they cant support reflashing should fix talked to dealer they say no reflash for my truck cant get this straight still have not got hex code to send to bill getting really frustrated

There's no way Edge should have told you to have your PCM flashed at a dealership so they could support it.

That is absolute crap. I'm bringing this thread to the attention of Bill and Cody.
