Help1 GRYPHON CS QUESTIONS PROBLEMS? 2010 F150 5.4

Hey guys, new to this tuner bit here I'm an old school kinda guy with no electronics basically. I have a 2010 F150 with the 5.4 I have a CAI on it as well. I have the the number 2 tow tune on it until I get my custom tune but I have some issues. 1st to 2nd gear at WOT the truck shifts harder than hell and bangs it doesnt sound good at all and then if you keep your foot in it 3rd to 4th just bounces off of the limiter until you back off and kick it back down. Same goes for kick down on the Interstate. Itll drop down pull hard and and then bounce at 5500 RPM. Any help is appreciated!! Sorry if this has been covered before but my google searches have reached a stand still!!

Put it back to stock and order custom tunes for the CAI.....

The intake is what messes with the tranny when running the canned tune? I posted my hex key on the forum yesterday so they could get started on the tunes!

There may be more to it than this. Another person posted a somewhat similar "issue" in the f150online forums. His truck seems to shift normally though from 1-2. Won't shift up at WOT though from 2-3 and 3-4. Like you, he has a 2010.

It sounds to me like the upshift and downshift points are set too high in the Edge canned tunes. Possibly, the "firmness" is set too high too, from your description of how the shift feels. The Torque Converter lock/unlock points may need work too. I think they need to work on their tunes. It's a new transmission and a new "controller". I suspect Bill might be better at getting things to work the way they should.

In the meantime though, I'd stay out of WOT as much as possible.

Hopefully Bill does a better job, I set it back to stock for now. I have I had the hard shift 3 times and Ive stayed out of it since then. I don't need to ruin a tranny! I will say it did pick up nice. I can't wait for the new tunes! I would def. say the firmness is way too hard in 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th seems like a shift point issue hitting the limiter first! Thanks for the input guys!

You never know what impact can happen when transferring the mass air flow sensor location......the tranny's computer is separate but yet its married to the engine's

Like jack said edge canned tunes might not have the right adjustments....

Limited, did you get your problem fixed with the canned tunes? Or are you did you just get PHP custom tunes. I just installed my new Edge CS and am having the same problem on my 2010. Hits rev limiter at 5500 or so and wont shift from 3rd to 4th at WOT. I ordered custom tunes, but would like to take advantage of canned tunes until Bill gets my custom ones done.

I had the same shifting issues along with some pinging and decided to get the custom tunes. I received my tunes only the ECM was programmed not the TCM. I now have pinging issues with the custom tunes as well. I was told that Bill is aware of the issue but is waiting on Edge to solve this problem.
