What exactly is in the new 3.0 CT/CTS update? Haven't been able to find any info.

As far as I can tell, it allows custom tunes to work on the transmissions in 09+ trucks. It's not something I feel compelled to install. And, I don't think anyone with a pre-09 truck should do so either.

However if you want to be a "guinea pig" and see if it screws up your truck, you can go ahead and try it out. Just don't complain if it breaks something that wasn't broke.

MILEAGE COACH SOFTWARE

The Mileage Coach was designed with fuel economy in mind and features tools to help drivers gauge, monitor, and conserve fuel consumption and MPG.

• Mileage Average, Mileage Instantaneous, and Mileage Coach PIDs*
• Trip Monitor (Monitors fuel cost on trips)

As with all CS and CTS upgrades, Version 3.0 and its features are available at no cost to CS and CTS unit owners and must be updated via Fusion Software. This software update is free. If you currently have a product, simply install the Edge internet update software (Fusion) on your PC, connect the CS or CTS product to the PC via the supplied USB cable, and follow the instructions for updating. Fusion internet update software is included on a CD packaged with all CS and CTS units. Fusion can also be download directly from edgeproducts.com. If you need assistance, please call us during regular operating hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time at 888-360-3343.

*Mileage Coach PIDs not currently available for 1998.5-1999 Dodge 5.9L Cummins and 1998-2004 Jeep Wranglers

i was told by bill to install it before doing the custom tunes....i havent been able to use it....bill hasnt had any luck getting the custom tunes to work with the new update. so i have a pretty expensive paper weight sitting on the shelf because i cant even use it to monitor PID's until they get it figured out.
