Default Which tunes should I get for these mods

OK here is my truck pre-shop

2008 F-150 5.6 2WD
Stock everything except Gryphon CS and 2" AS

Once I get it out of the shop it will have the following mods

6" fabtech lift kit (on top of 2" AS and with 5" back blocks instead of 2")
Fuel Hostage 18" w/ Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 35x12.50-18
Gott's Mod for CAI
4.85 Yukon gears
Some sort of custom exhaust (thinking SIDO Magnaflow)

I know I will need custom tunes going into the shop before i can drive my truck home, with all these mods going in. I guess my question is what to do about the exhaust. Im not real sure about what to tell them for my exhaust since I dont know exactly what the shop is going to do.

Any recommendations on my above mods would be fantastic.

thanks

Ford didn't make a 5.6, but they did make 4.6 and 5.4 liter V8 engines that year.

Good idea with the Gotts and gears

You will need to know some basics about the exhaust. Like if it still has the stock "Y" beneath the cab.

You could get an 87 performance and an 87 tow. That is the combo I have and really like. I don't have huge tires but the tow tune is really nice when traveling through hilly areas.

Im not saying you wont need custom tunes with those mods......because you really don't.....you just need a programmer with canned tunes to change the gears and tire size.....custom tunes are an improvement over canned tunes in any vehicle.....but if you want them you can get them.....

Take care.....
