Default Custom tunes for stock truck?

New forum/CS user here,

I ordered my Gryphon on Nov 25th with an estimated ship date of Nov 28th and with my understanding of a 5 day ship time I was very pleased to see the Gryphon at my place on Nov 29th!

Very easy to setup and install the Gryphon and I am very pleased with the performance boost on stock Level 2 to my stock 5.4L 3V King Ranch.

After much searching I cant seem to find an answer to the question; will custom tunes offer additional performance / MPG with a stock vehicle. Maybe tunes specific to my [stock] vehicle, location etc? The only modification to the truck was the DWV (Gotts) intake mod.

The Gryphon CS was ordered / installed with no mods, if I wanted custom tunes would I need to send it in or simply download the updates?

If any moderators wish to review my profile I'd appreciate it, I'm confident my calibration / hex code is correct but I'm not sure where to find the model #

Thanks for having me, glad you got to see me, take care, yours truly etc

They may get you a little more performance but the MPG is completely up to how you drive. Yes, custom tunes will be specific to your location/altitude. Explaining your driving conditions and habits will help PHP make your tunes better tailored for how you need them. Also, the Gotts does not require any tune modification because it does not alter the MAF sensor's surroundings.
