I ordered my CTS last week and it arrived yesterday. Excitement ensued.

After it was all unpacked... I wasn't sure what to do next, so I did the unthinkable and read the quick start guide, then the instructions. Still a little unclear on exactly what I should do after I've routed the OBD-II cable and wiped down the windshield with alcohol. Finally I decided to just plug it in and see what happened.

Well, it (the CTS) started off by asking a few simple questions. Are you sure you want to continue? What make of vehicle am I connected to?...What is your VIN number? Those questions were handled with ease, even my VIN number. Next, it warned me that it would ask me some of these questions again and again, until it was sure that I was tired of answering them (the next three times it was turned on), and it wanted to update the PCM.

At long last I was presented with the Analog Gauges screen. So I dove in and programmed the transmission only program. Turn On key, turn OFF key, turn on key... And it appears that it worked.
