Gryphon™ CS and CTS Programmer Post here if you have a question or comment about the Gryphon CS (Color Screen) or CTS (Color Touch Screen) Programmer.

AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD YOUR CUSTOM TUNES, DO NOT PLUG YOUR PROGRAMMER BACK INTO FUSION, OR YOUR CUSTOM TUNES WILL BE ERASED!

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU CONNECT TO FUSION FOR EDGE'S LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE, YOU WILL ERASE YOUR CUSTOM TUNES!

Default received CS today

I received my CS unit today. To clarify I am going to:

1. Install Fusion on my PC
2. Connect up the CS and check for any updates.
3. Install CS in my truck
4. Get hex code and unit s/n and post to forum
5. Load 87 tow canned tune
6. Wait for custom tunes from Bill

Are these steps correct?

Thanks

Yes, but the term "update" is a misnomer. Just ask the 09-11 guys.

I'd run it the way it is without first connecting to Fusion. Edge will likely have 17,459 "updates" between the time you first install the device to the time that your custom calibrations are ready. If I do the tuning, I'll email you when I'm done with them and you can go ahead and "update" at that time. Then when Bill gets the files uploaded to the Fusion server, you will be ready and won't have to wait to first do an "update".

OK, so fusion will update and load the custom tunes at the same time. Awesome, Thank you for the fast reply!

Not quite - you update and then Bill can put the tunes on the server for you to download (hopefully, VERY soon afterwards).

Okay I got it now read irst reply too quick. Posted ecm hex code and unit serial number plus other info in proper section of the forum. Updated usercp as well.

Had to work late and first storm for New England coming. Haven't loaded 87 tow canned tune yet. Will do tomorrow after shoveled out.

I will wait for email to update CS then upload custom tunes.

Thanks for the support

Default CD Fusion Update

With the latest development using Fusion I will wait for an email from PHP to tell me to update my CS. I have not used Fusion to date for any updates, havent even loaded the software.

I hadn't received an email notification about my custom tunes(of course I hadn't done all the necessary posting on my end)so I went ahead and updated my CTS and I was still getting the funky error messages. Should I call Edge Tech Support or wait until the custom tunes are done? I'm not trying to hijack your thread, 2005 Lariat...

Yes, call Edge Tech support and try to get your problems resolved. The more that people let them know there's a problem with their firmware, the sooner it will get fixed.
