Update or not update my CS????????
I have custom tunes that should be here around Feb 10... The big red ink at the top of all the forums states:
"CS AND CTS CUSTOMERS: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PROGRAMMER USING FUSION. CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE UPDATED IN THE PAST FEW DAYS ARE RECEIVING AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT SAYS, "This device does not match the fuel type of the vehicle. To ensure that you have the correct device for the vehicle contact the retailer or Technical Suppport at (888) 360-3343" However, I also read that My CS should be updated prior to getting custom tunes because if it updates at the same time as I get the custom tune the update will write over the tune: "We have been getting several e-mails from customers lately complaining that their custom tunes have not been uploaded to Fusion. What we have discovered in 99% of the cases is that the custom tunes HAD been uploaded to Fusion, but when the customer plugged into Fusion to get them, Edge also had an update available which immediately wiped out the custom tuning!" So, Do I update my CS now and risk the programmer not recognizing my fuel type... or do I wait for my custom tune and risk having it wiped out by the fusion update??? Please let me know... I would really like to be ready for my tunes when they get here. Thanks in advance, -Jeff

Do not update it.
The issues with previous updating can be taken care of once everything gets moving again.

Will this affect/delay my custom tunes? I know that these problems are on Edges end and PHP is in the crossfire so I completely understand... (I even said a prayer for PHP this morning cause I'm sure this has been a headache for them...) I would hate to see PHP stop custom tuning the CS and the CTS like was mentioned :'( ...

It might delay them a little bit because time that Bill spends on the phone with them is time he can't be doing something else.

I'm eagerly anticipating the custom tunes...but I'm a firm believer that good things come to those who wait.
