I actually had a faded display ONCE. After I adjusted it, the problem did not reoccur. I can't explain why it happened - it was NOT the battery, or heat.

I too had this happen one time. I could see the screen enough to go in and check the contrast, which was set at a "normal" level. Once I played with the contrast, the screen bounced back and I haven't experienced the problem again.

Our son arrived home safely from Iraq; many others won't. You don't have to support the war to support our soldiers.

I have to say that I have noticed the same thing, every once in a while the contrast acts like it is too low, just enough to see it, but thats it. so I go to adjust it, and its set where I left it, and as soon as i change it either up or down it fixes itself. I set it higher than what I had before the other day so I will let you all know if i notice a difference. I believe that it was set at about 40% originally, and i moved it to 45%. hope this helps
