I've had my Gryphon since early this year and Bill spent some time with me getting my truck up and running after an engine swap. Since then I've had 4 COPS fail on me. Could this be a tune issue? It hurts spending $45 every 2 months on the same issue and it's never the same COP. Can I adjust something to help the issue?

I has motorcraft plugs in it. I don't use anything else.

Hard to see how a tune could effect a coil.
![]() I imagine heat could be an issue - wonder if they run too hot in the re-worked environment? (I admit, I'm reaching on this.) Are the COPs OEM, or are they a different brand? - Jack

The old motor's COP's were changed as needed (about one every year or so).
The new motor's COP's were changed after a month or so after I got it swapped. They were changed to new OEM's from old OEM's. |

I'm not an engine guru so thats why I'm asking you guys about this. I don't know if the problem was tune related or engine related. I thought my 4.6 was bad, but my 5.4 takes the cake with these COP's. I didn't know if running rich or lean could case the failures or what, I'm just trying not to spend $40 every other month on the same part.
