Transmission issues - Bill help!
Bill helped me with a tune for the tranny. I'm not sure what he did but when I'm cruising at 1100-1200 RPM's the truck feels like it's missing. Someone suggested the torque converter was doing something wrong but I have no clue. It feels like it needs to downshift for a firmer feel because it feels weak at those RPM's.
The truck had a 4.6-5.4 engine swap and Bill wrote the tunes to make it a 5.4 and he tweaked a few other things at the same time. Can one of you moderators forward this to Bill and see if this issue is related to the tweaks he made? Also, the RPM's really ramp up (about 5000) before down shifting when I go to pass on the highway if I "stomp" on it, but if I "ease" into it everything is fine. The RPM's also ramp up when I slow for a corner or dip in the road and then get back in the gas. This happens all the time, not just when I "stomp" on it.
