Default My ABS Light comes on & off

My ABS light started coming on & off over the past month or so.

Every time its happened was while I was towing my TT w/ my gryphon set to the 87 Tow Tune.

I havent been to the dealer yet to have it checked out but I did return to stock & removed the gryphon from the truck.

I'm still going to take it to the dealer, since its still under warranty.

My real question is, how do I make sure they don't flash my PCM??

I don't even know if this is a common practice, but I don't want to deal with getting my custom tune rewritten (& Charged again)

Also what if they don't see anything wrong with the truck??

Again, What if I plug in the Gryphon again the ABS Light reappears??

Thanks Lee

While the light is on try checking for DTCs with the programmer.

Put it back to stock and try towing.
If it happened again then the programmer is ruled out of the equation.
Quite frankly the programmer doesn't have anything to do with the abs system.
I'm wondering if one of your senser wires has a knick or a cut in it.

Yes, I know the programmer has nothing to do with the ABS

That might be the case, on a different occasion, I caught the smell of burning wires, but could not locate the source, everything else works fine though.

Back to my main question, does the dealer have to flash my PCM in order to pull up any codes??

Thanks Lee

The dealer should not have to flash your PCM to pull up codes. And, if there is an ABS code, it may not show on the Gryphon because the Gryphon doesn't show ALL the various codes for non-driveline related subsystems.

But, if a flash is deemed necessary, I think I'd want to have it done, even if it meant rewriting your tunes.
