Does anyone know if there is a way to post it (the data write up) on here? Either on this thread or on its own thread. I currently have it as a MS word document and it is too big to upload because of pictures.
I will be working on it this weekend to make it take up less space...hopefully I'll be able to come up with something.

Copy/Paste?
Just some ideas?
Xperties might know also.

I'll keep working on it, even the PDF is too big. The problem is that there are a bunch of pictures that take up space. I'm a visual person that would rather see what the steps look like but I'll see if I can lower the resolution enough to get by. I probably wont be able to post or email the final drafts until monday. Wont have internet over the weekend.

Personally I would email it so Corey and Bill could proof read it.
Or just calm down and wait a few more days till they get back from SEMA. I know Jack has worked with Corey some on other publications before they are posted.
Or do like some people do»multiple posts/divide it up.

I did email an older copy that used low quality images from a camera instead of the acutal ones I'm now using. I sent it to Corey so that she could get an idea of what I'm planning.
Haha, dont worry I can wait until they get back. I just find it frustrating that I the only one I can send is pretty much a trash copy.
I will probably try the multiple posts later, I was just hoping for an easy way to get opinions.

OK, started a thread so that this one wont go off on a tangent. It put it in the gryphon section where I hope more people will comment to make it easier to understand.

Are the newer programmers shipping out with a 93 performance instead of a 91? When I first got mine, I wasn't sure because the book said one thing and the programmer said another.

It's a good question. Basically, it's a "high octane" tune. The changes between 91 and 93 octane are minimal, so in most cases, 91 or 93 octane can be used. If there are any driveability issues caused by the fuel, the timing can always be adjusted to compensate.

The one thing you need to consider is what is "high octane" in your area. Commonly, higher altitude locations will run lower octane fuels as "high octane". For example, in Utah the highest octane you could get was 89 octane. However, at 5000 ft. the change in air pressure and resulting change in cylinder pressure made it completely feasible to use the 93 octane program with 89 octane fuel.

I hate using octane ratings as a descriptive rating for a calibration but I don't really have much choice since there really isn't any better way to describe the calibrations. This is the main reason we ask what types of fuel are available in your area and also why it's important to build calibrations for specific locations. Altitude makes a big difference.

As for the difference between 91 and 93? Like Corey said, it's not much. About 1 to maybe 2 degrees or timing from mid to full throttle.

Take care.
