This is from a service call I had about 2 months ago.
The techs rolled a long framed tractor on it and proceeded to to dyno it.
One they forgot was where the stacks were lined up in relation to the exhaust hood.
Well the exhaust got hot and then popped the fire sprinklers! OOPS!
Then they called me in to replace them with higher temp sprinklers. I told them it didn't matter what the temp was. It where the stacks are in relation to the exhaust hood!
So they also called in a tinner and he's going to build a bigger hood.
So exhaust hoods for stacks are there for a reason.

The emissions shop here in Colorado Springs for Diesels... has a 1500HP dyno like that... Stupid county has no gasoline emissions testing but still has diesel emissions testing

I stumbled upon this thread while browsing the forum and the part about fire sprinklers caught my eye. Are you by chance a sprinkler fitter??
