Default Single vs Split SOI

I would guess that splits would have a slightly more advance in SOI @ low RPM's, but how much?

At what RPM's range would the SOI be similar between the two?

Actually, the SOI map isn't too different between a stock single shot and a stock split shot and you're right, the splits seem to carry a bit more RPM-based SOI advance than the singles.

Here's a screenshot of a TDE1 vs. an XLE4

However, the biggest difference comes in the form of injection delay. It's quite a bit different between the two. This is Ford's guess at how much time there is between actual commanded injection and the start of actual injection because of mechanical and electrical delays.

Screenshot, please......................

Exactly. The overall SOI curve (injection delay notwithstanding) isn't all that different. The SOI delay is where the major difference is as far as correction for singles or splits.

Okay guys, so I have an early model '99 CA truck that I have recently upgraded to the Adrenaline HPOP and stage 2 single shot injectors. I got rid of the split shots for mileage gains. I cannot find tuning for it now since it is a CA vehicle that came with split shots. What do I need to do without spending MORE money on a new computer?

Can you elaborate a little bit on exactly you mean by "can't find tuning"?

There are at least 4 tuners that I know of that should have just about every PCM definition that was ever made....including E99 California emissions trucks.

PHP, Tony Wildman, DP-Tuner, Steve Cole (although I don't know if he still does this or not).
