Default R.I.P. Romulator and Fuel Lab

Somehow I managed to kill both of them simultaneously yesterday.

I went through the normal routine of hooking up the emulator, loaded the file into it, then cycled the key off then on and CEL just flashed for a second and fuel pump did not turn on. Right then I realized I forgot to convert the binary to the 32k size before I loaded it into the emulator.

I converted the binary and tried to re-load the file with no luck, same thing as before. I then pulled the emulator off the PCM and cycled the key, CEL came back but still no fuel pump. Pissed off at myself thinking........great, you just fried the fuel pump driver......dummy. So I pulled the radio and jumped the relay and still no fuel pump, checked power and ground and all was fine............bad fuel pump.

So this morning after gathering up some fittings and lines I grafted a "stockish" fuel pump in, re-installed the chip, and bingo.......everything works again.

So just for giggles I tried the emulator again with no luck, CEL flashes just for a second and tach jumps to around 500 rpm with the key on.

WTH happened?

Is the emulator done, or can it be re-set?

*update*

Took the emulator apart, removed battery, touched battery terminals together to discharge any capacitors that it may have, re-loaded file, and it works again.
