Default Question about pegusus

I got my programmer back with the custom tunes that Bill and Corey made for me and I was just wondering if I need to log into Pegusus or is it just an optional thing? What exactly does the pegusus program do and how can it help me? I am running my programmer in the custom tune right now and cant really feel a difference between the canned tune. Any info on this topic would be a great help.

If you sent your Edge in to be converted to a Gryphon and it came back with custom tunes installed, there is no need to use Pegasus. You would do that if Bill published a firmware update (he'd tell us), or if he modified your custom tune in any way. Pegasus would load those changes into your unit.

Pegasus is still a useful program though. It has a couple of "calculators" and I use the "Gear Ratio Calculator" all the time to help people wanting to know what there tire size is or how changing tires will effect their gearing.

I would download it and click on Help->Registration and fill in the details about your Gryphon there, so they can be maintained on PHP's server.

Now, you said you could not tell any difference between the canned and custom tune. In my case, the difference was not as great as the difference between stock and canned. But, I did notice even more aggressive shifting under WOT and, I found that my gas mileage was even better.

I suspect the "differences" might reflect our expectations. I certainly know I would not want to put my truck back to stock now. But, I don't do jackrabbet starts away from stoplights either.

Good luck in the Air Force!

Edit: I moved this to the Pegasus forum, since it seems to belong there.
