Default Gryphon screen went blue.

I had the gryphon plugged in. Not exactly sure what happened but next thing I know the screen went from green to blue. I shut down pegasus and unplugged the gryphon. I rebooted windows and opened pegasus. I plugged the gryphon in and got this message.

If you were doing some kind of update then the screen does change color. Were you doing the target function or updating the splash screen?

When you say, "blue", which screen are you talking about? If it's the computer screen, that's the "Blue Screen Of Death" (BSOD). I've never seen my Gryphon screen turn blue, as I remember.

I'm going to assume you have shut everything down again. You've rebooted the PC, started Pegasus, plugged your unit in and you still get this error message?

Bill said this once:

"First, despite the "Unable to determine Gryphon Model" error, you should still be able to use the [Targeted Functions] menu option. In the event this is not possible, I'll have to actually be on the phone with you to be able to correct the issue. As long as the firmware doesn't get bricked during an update and lose the serial number, we usually have no problem with the targeted functions recovering the unit."

In spite of the slight discrepancy between this error message and yours, possibly they are the same?

Anyway, give it a try and if it doesn't work, Call Bill.

It actually wasnt the BSOD on the pc. It was on the gryphon. I am running windows 7 RC on all of my computers. I figure microsoft has debugged their OS by now. I havent had a BSOD in years.

I was on the road most of the day and did not have access to the computer so I called Bill. He walked me through everything and solved the minor glitch.

You are correct about ignoring the error message. I went to targeted function and walked away. When I came back everything working as it should.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out.
