DarkShadow, just to be certain, you HAVE tried this? COMDLG32.OCX and/or MSCOMM32.OCX issues...
Te reason I'm asking is because it's not clear that you did. If you can't get it to work, and you can't get hold of Bill so that he could do a "Remote Desktop" session with you, is there any way you could try this on a different PC? Perhaps running Windows XP or Windows 7? I'm sorry, I know very little about Vista, only that it doesn't much care for 32-bit applications. - Jack

Yes I tried that. When I do it my computer says
"The module "\windows\system32\comdlg32.ocx" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specific path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found" I installed Pegasus on my slow-a$$ laptop with XP and it updated just fine. I wonder if someone besides Bill knows how to make it work on Vista 64 because my XP computer takes about 15 minutes to get all booted up just so I can use it and it is a pain to use. Oh well, the laptop will now have to be used for making dvds and updating my Gryphon and that's it. Thanks for the advice though. I won't bother Bill about this one until Pegasus doesn't work on my laptop or my laptop finally dies.

You know, I vaguely remember this problem from MANY months ago. I'll try a search in a bit, but as I recall, there's a problem in the comdlg32.ocx file. And, as I seem to recall, this file is dammed hard to replace (possibly because it is already active and is in the system folder).
At any rate, I WOULD ask Bill about this if I were you. I'm pretty sure he's worked out the problem and it needs to be something that Vista-64 owners can use. Edit: The problem has apparently been that the comdlg32.ocx file is not properly "registered". This means, I think, that it's location is not shown properly in the system registry. And, that link I gave you earlier is the command prompt command to cause it to be registered. And, this is the issue I remember. If you tried that procedure and things still don't work, I don't have any better thoughts (except to talk to Bill). - Jack |

I tried the install on a Windows 7 machine and received this error (MSCOMM32.OCX). Same resolution?
