Hey Buckeyes, can you send us your serial number? Bill says every once in awhile, things get corrupted, so he'll send you a targeted update and force it. No worries.

Looks like the problem is related to an issue with something blocking FTP access to the internet. This could be related to Windows Firewall, Port blocking on the router, or even Port blocking from the Internet Provider.
If all else fails, we can e-mail the files.

Figured out the problem, my router had SPI enabled which would explain the inability to connect, but all looks good, now I can get my custom tunes as soon as they are ready!

That is awesome! Thanks for the tip on that. I need to add that to the installation instructions Troubleshooting section.
BTW - What router are you using? D-Link? Linksys? Take care.

Whoops, that may help. I currently have a D-Link gaming router, and if anyone doesn't already know, to get into your router to change settings is really quite easy. Load your browser and type in your routers IP address, the most common being 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.0. This should take you right into your routers settings or to a login page, if you have a router from Comcast or some other provider they may have it password protected, but just go to their site, and you should be able to find their user and password pretty easy. If you bought your router, you may be able to just click login without having to type in anything or check with the manufacturer. Since every router will have a different GUI you will have to do a little exploring to figure out where all the settings you need are. On my D-Link the problem was under ADVANCED--FIREWALL and it was the first box that you come to. I disabled it, rebooted the router and all seems fine.
Edit:You can also check your routers IP address in Windows, if you go to network connections and double click on the one you are using it should bring up it's status. In this box there should be a Details... button. When you click on that it will bring up a new window with a list, look in that list for the IPV4 Default Gateway and the IP address, that will be the one to type into your browser. Also this will only work on a home network, schools and business' should have all their routers on different IP address' and protected haha |
