Default Tried Vista Fix, Ended up making things worse

Hi,

I jsut got my custom tunes and was attempting to update Pegasus and got the MSCOMM32.oxc error message. So I proceeded to complete the Vista fix for it and now I can't even open Pegasus. I get the same error message right off the hop and nothing opens. I can''t even unistall the darn thing.

Anyone got any suggestions? I'd like to call but they don't answer phones until 12.

Thanks

Quick update. I managed to get pegasus off my computer. I then downloaded to lastest setup from the website instead of the CD that came with my gryphon. Installed fine, still wouldn't properly update. I found the guide on the php website and used it's vista fix (ie. Turning off the UAC) as opposed to the one on this forum section to do with the MSCOMM32 stuff. After rebooting my computer everything ran perfectly. Tunes are uploaded. Computers....such a joy.

Glad to hear you got it straightened out. As you can see from my signature, I'm not overly fond of Vista. The security measures they implement only make things more difficult than they need to be. Windows 7 is also a treat to deal with, compounded with the fact that it no longer provides any sort of interface that resembles Windows XP. Joy.

Thank you for this post. As I was living the same Vista nightmare I came on here and figured out 1) I wasn't alone in my distaste for this operating system and 2) the fix. Many thanks, I am now enjoying my custom tunes!!
