Got my email today that my custom tunes were ready for download. The email had the correct serial number in them.... So I've tried to update my pegasus, even downloaded all new stuff off their website. But i'm still getting the elusive

Unable to locate a valid instruction file.

Anybody got any ideas of what else I could do? the Gyphon is connected to the client software, i just have no more ideas.

So i've tried basically everything I can find between the support sites on PHP and the forum, and nothing is helping.

I actually can't connect to the server whatsoever, even to update the pegasus (its the version 2.02.0780) or send my registration info. I'm assuming this is some screw up in my windows 7.....

Open Pegasus and plug in your programmer. Your serial number should be in the lower right hand corner. Please let me know what appears in Pegasus.

3630... thats good. I just cant get windows 7 to connect to ya'lls server. me and bill traded some emails about it. I just tried cleaning my registry and gonna give the install another go.

Okay boys and girls.... Moral of the story.... when your computer is fighting you and you think is all is lost.... do the right thing, give up completely, email bill, and show up at his house. 3 minutes later he comes back outside and with a little "ta da" to boot, you average 1.5 MPG better on your way home and lose .5 seconds on your 1/4 mile time.

That's good, and you got the special treatment from "the man"! But for the rest of us, there's really no reason why Windows 7 won't work properly. I've posted several articles about fixing corrupted installs of Pegasus. Hint: Most problems are caused by plugging in the Gyphon before INSTALLING and ACTIVATING Pegasus on your PC. If you connect your Gryphon to the PC before installing Pegasus, Windows won't install Pegasus correctly.

So - Please install Pegasus right away, as soon as you order your tunes and, don't plug the Gryphon in to your PC until Pegasus is running normally.

Happy he got your tunes to you but glad you didn't come in. There's a benefit to working from home -- like staying in your jammies all day.

Yeah Jack and Janet, I had been all over the FAQ posts and everything else I could find in the forum trying to fix the issue.... Tried it on multiple computers, multiple installs, multiple versions of pegasus.... i really had no clue. I could ping their server from my command prompt, but just couldn't get the pegasus to locate it. This was all done before even emailing bill.... i'm usually a pretty computer savy guy.... so this was incredibly frustrating knowing my tunes were just floating out their in space waiting to be tried out....

ya'll just stay in pj's all the time... you got my tunes to me in like 2 weeks... no complaints here!
