Default Chip Installed

I finally got my chip installed yesterday evening. The install went much easier than i planned. I was nervous at first since i was dealing with a pretty important part of the truck but all went extremely smooth.

The tunes i got was
1 stock
2 Hi idle 1100
3 65 tow
4 80 daily
5 120 race
6 smoke show

As far as the tunes I love them. With the chip in 80 the truck pulls harder, spools faster and just flat out runs compared to the evolution i was running.

Hi idle is very handy. I think it willl get alot of use.

Im waiting to try out the tow tune and the race tune.

The only thing that kinda upset me was the smoke show setting. I was hoping for more smoke then that but all the other tunes make up for it. Its definetly the best mod that ive done to date.

MILAGE REPORT
I drove 245 miles to see my gf for Christmas. With the truck with NO chip or programmer I got 18.6 hand calculated running 75-80.

I installed the chip, put it on 80 daily, topped the tank off and drove back 245 miles running 75-80 and i got 21.5 mpg.

Thanks Bill and Corey for the great product. I LOVE IT

Jarret,

That's awesome on the mileage! I'm sorry the SS setting is a bit disappointing and if there's something else you'd rather have down the road, let me know.

Take care.

Im hoping for an adrenaline, forged rods, and a BTS next year so i may need a little retweaking and then i may dump the smoke setting and get the 140.

I do have a question though.
When i let of the accelerator from about 60, when the truck downshift it sounds and feels like a manual is downshifting.

Is this normal? I kinda like it but is it supposed to do that?

I am sure I will be corrected, but this may because of the different shift strategy(PMT1).

It should be downshifting at about 38 MPH. This is a normal part of the strategy. If you find it bothersome, we can eliminate it. Most folks prefer it though.
