Default What isthe original use

So I finally got my chip installed (wow). When I was doing it I was wondering why Ford included this slot in the first place. I can't believe it was to support the aftermarket.

Congratulations. I am hoping to pull the trigger on one real soon. What tunes did you get? I hate to sound ignorant, but does the truck drive that much differently? I've never even ridden in a tuned our chipped truck, so I just don't know what to expect.

It is quite a bit different. I can't believe that one thing can make such a difference compared to the other things I have done. One of my positions is stock so I switched it back just to check - almost night and day.

I'll have a better review probably next week. I will have a chance to use the truck for what it is intended for, towing and hauling. So far all I have is a little test run going to the store

I will be waiting anxiously for the post-towing and hauling review

The port was originally put there for development. As Bill just told me, they tune the PCM the same way we do (with an emulator while making live changes). Who knew?

Our son arrived home safely from Iraq; many others won't. You don't have to support the war to support our soldiers.
