Default Free chip reburns

I bought a Phoenix chip on 8/24/2009,will PHP update it free with the latest tunes like another popular tuner does if I send it back? I understand the return postage is my responsibly.

Your best bet would be to give Bill a shout and see if changes have been made to your particular set of standard tunes since yours were written. Though Bill learns new things from time to time and makes adjustments here and there, he doesn't claim to make changes every other day like "some other tuners." Since your tunes are two years old, however, it is quite possible that some changes have been made, so feel free to give him a shout during phone hours, and he'll let you know.

FWIW, since we're able to read all the tunes that are out there, don't believe everything you read on the forums about other tuners rewriting and updating their tunes based upon "learning new things with all their live tuning." We know better. I will leave it at that.

Our son arrived home safely from Iraq; many others won't. You don't have to support the war to support our soldiers.

The only reason I want to update is the shifting of the Daily Driver programs.
I don't like the way they shift into 3rd and then lockup the torque converter at the same time. I am going to add some new tunes, but I am willing to pay for them. I hope to get some adjustment on the Daily Driver tunes.

The 25hp and 40hp tunes are spot on, they pull excellent, and the egt's stay well with in range, as do the Daily Driver tunes.

Anyone looking for good safe power, a quiet engine, and l a good feel of the go pedal, I suggest you give them a try!! They are good Christian people and will do you right.

I will be contacting Bill in the near future to discuss my needs.

Don

I bet you have a 2002-2003 truck.....

The DD calibrations have been changed recently to get rid of the 2-3 shift and immediate TCC apply.

EDIT:

Yep, I just checked your calibrations and you have an 02/03.

Yes, my build date was 8/27/2002, it is a 2003 model year F350.

My 03 does the 2-3 shift with immediate lockup as well, is there any benefit to this? It feels like it bogs the engine too much when it does this.

It's not going to hurt anything, but it is annoying. It does help with transmission temperatures while driving around town though.
