Default more power for 97 powerstroke?

Hi, Just wondering if you guys can make more power with your tunes over the edge tunes?

Some people say to upgrade the injectors and upgrade the evolution.Currently while towing on the extreme level we get some smoke but the pre turbo EGT's are not too high at all (1000 deg) at 25 psi boost.

This 97 f450 has an early 99.5 turbocharger and 6.0 intercooler,edge evo,intake and exhaust work,LUK single mass flywheel/clutch upgrade

This truck is mainly used for towing so we don't really want any smoke while under load. The edge extreme tune smokes and doesn't make as much power as we thought it would have.

The problem is two-fold.

First off, the injectors are very "small". This means that the actual amount of fuel they can inject during one power stroke is minimal. So your ultimate power potential isn't very high (which is why your EGT stays cool).

Secondly, the compressor on the turbocharger doesn't move very much air (even though it's a later unit).

Thirdly, the high pressure oil pump isn't up to the task of moving very much oil for very long.

The largest gains will be in the shifting....not so much the power although we can eliminate a large amount of smoke.

Thanks for the reply. So I guess Will could run into issues if we only upgrade the injectors.I was knid of thinking that the turbo would be on the outer limits when this truck is uesd for towing most of the time. Also who Knows if the orignal HPOP is up to the task fo upgraded injectors/chip.

Thanks again for your honest opinions.
