It's very unusual. I will say that 4.6L trucks are a lot more sensitive to programming and there are a few tweaks we can make that should fix the light.
I put an update on the server. Download it and let me know if the problem is resolved. Take care. |
woohoo thanks Bill!! I will try it this afternoon...i tried the canned tune and it went away...i will let you know if the new tune removed the light as well.

Recalibrating the gas pedal and throttle body:
1- Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine(dashboard lights come on and chime sounds). 2- After the chime stops, smoothly depress the gas pedal to the floor while counting 1001-1002-1003. 3- Release the gas pedal using the same procedure in 2. 4- Wait 6 seconds, and turn the ignition to OFF. 5- Wait 6 sec., and repeat steps 1-4 two more times. Could maybe give this a whack too if it keeps happening... |
That's interesting, Grabber! I wonder though, to fix the problem dsilva584 is having, wouldn't the PCM have to be holding one of the Gryphon tunes? (I actually suspect Bill will get it ironed out though.)
These "reset"/"recalibrate"/"disable"/"enable" procedures are all a hoot, aren't they? - Jack |
Thanks for adding that procedure. I don't think it may necessarily apply to the current issues, but it's good to know... especially for those folks who have installed aftermarket throttle bodies.
Take care. |
well i updated my gryphon with the new tune bill put out for me and the light is gone!!!thanks Bill.
