I would like to make a comment here. I do believe that running ur truck at a higher temp will increase ur fuel economy. For a diesel Im not sure for gas yes it makes a difference. I have done alot of fuel economy research and to get better fuel economy U want to run a hotter engine and suck warm air into the intake (not turbos). It creates a hotter combustion which helps burn the fuel more completely. So if it dies anything itll help ur fuel economy. hp and that other stuff I dont think so.

I work for the railroad on 4500 hp engines and we run our locos hot for that reason. The fuel is also warmed to atomize the fuel better mpg.

I hope that helps i say go for it.
