Wellllllllll.

I was going to. My truck's due for an oil change (back to 15/40 from 5/40 for the warm season) and I was working on another guy's truck (another oil cooler reseal if you can believe it) when my wife came by and took my truck......indefinitely. I'm kind of going through a divorce/separation thing and I'll probably know what's up in about 6 months.......

Sorry, no details.

OK, well, that sux.
Sorry to hear about that.

Oh Cody, I'm sorry to hear that.
Having been there done that, twice actually, all I can say is it will get better.
Try to stay on the high road, try not to let her push your buttons.
Good luck Man

That is definitely not fun. Its a shame you weren't able to put a very inefficient tune on there before she got it. And bfife is right, she's just trying to push your buttons to make things worse.:notallthere:

Bringing this thread up again.
I'm still interested in something like this for my truck.

Kwikkordead Wed, April 28th, 2010 04:12 PM

Bumping this back up.
I am still interested in doing something with this.
I turned on the fast idle yesterday right after starting the engine and it really billowed a lot of fuel smoke.
I don't know why this new engine is acting like this, the old one even when it was knocking and had a lot of miles on it, didn't do this.:hmmm:

Dan,

I'll talk to him about this since I sit right across the desk from him now.

I will let you know what I come up with.

Thanks Cody.
I'll wait for your reply.

Bill says it's entirely possible to fix those EOT/SOI maps in your programs, Dan. I'll get with Corey today and aquire an RMA# for you so you can go to the website and fill out the return form.

OK, but I want to remind you guys that it wasn't the tuning.
My old engine didn't smoke like this before I put the new one in.
It really acts to me like they dropped the compression ratio for some reason.
Maybe to combat NOX emissions, just guessing.
I also want to drop the idle a touch on the tunes. Whenever I switch from stock to any other tune the idle speeds up some and I would like to lower it about 50 rpm across the board.
