88racing, what tune do u use for daily driving? also, how are your 87perf. tunes different?

My 87oct perf custom tune is what I use the most. That tune is geared for gitty up and go. It also has max economy with it.
My 87oct tow perf custom tune is for when I pull loads over 2500 lbs. That tune provides power in the lower rpms to help get your truck going when pulling a trailer.
Both of these tunes have different shift strategies also.
Hope this helps:)

So If I get a custom 87 per I will not need a custom 87 economy tune?

It's up to you.
That was MY choice when I ordered.
Bill's tunes are great but I have never seen or heard anyone expressing the great savings of an economy tune.
Bill's performance tunes are by no ways gas sucking tunes. They have a side effect and that is increased efficiency and better shifts.
So when I ordered I requested a performance tune with maximized economy.
Did it work?
Maybe 1-2 mpg's better but that's all.
The economy tune will only change the shift strategies to lower rpms.
So why not have the best of both worlds I thought to myself. So that's what Bill, Jack, and I came up with.

So remember it's your truck and get what you want.

Alright, now I need help filling out the oder form.
I don't really know what to put for most of this stuff
My truck is all stock except for CAI and exhaust.
Can I just put Stock in for items such as Current Displacement, Comp Ratio, Maximum RPM, etc etc?

88Racing Fri, March 5th, 2010 06:26 PM

Yep.
If you haven't changed it just put in stock.

Man this is awesome I had the exact same questions! I have an 04 as well and just put on a CAI today. Looks like I need to get some tunes. So I know that I should run the level 2 on my edge for now to try and minimize lean conditions but what about when I send my Edge in for a Gryphon? Wont I need to put the truck back to stock before sending it in?

The best suggestion I have is put the truck back to stiock along with the intake while you wait.
