the 100 performance has a lot more low end feel that it sounds like you want in a daily driver then the 80 DD. The 80 DD to me feels similar to a stock truck to about 1800 rpms and then it starts to pull harder. Where the 100 performance pulls harder at lower rpms. Maybe that will help. I have the FU Package and i have tried pretty much all of them by now. I've gotten to where I like the DD tune but the 100 performance makes the truck definitely a lot more fun to drive. Maybe that will help.

^^ Thanks Tholt, that does help.
Well, just ordered my chip! I did end up going with my original choices. I figured that if I wanted a lower HP tune for cruising down the highway or whatever I could flip 'er into 65 tow. And since it's a manual trans I'm guessing the 65 tow would feel VERY similar to the 65 DD and probably like a slightly tamer version of the 80 DD. Now to play the waiting game..... |
Once you get it, will you report back here what you "feel"?
That would be super awesome! If I ever get the F350 sold I'll be doing the Phoenix on my F250, but that doesn't seem to be happening. :skeptic: |
Honestly before i started running the 80 DD about a month or so ago. I drove around in the 80 tow all the time. Truck ran really well and didn't smoke and still had good power. Not crazy fast like the performance tunes but definitely would get out of its way better then in stock mode.

Any noticeable differences in mileage?

It seemed to get about the same. Not a whole lot of difference.
