A revolver would probably work out just fine. However, the .17 suffers a similar fate as a lot of semi-auto .22 pistols (and even rifles in some instances) where there simply isn't enough muzzle energy to cycle the action reliably.

I seen there's a buy back program from remington on the 17 ammo and on some rifles also....magazine I seen it in was american rifleman

I got a single shot .410 in the barn for them kinda deals
Last critter I had to displace was a skunk that was sick or something, he couldn't spray my blue heeler that found him next to the barn. All my wife was worried about was a kleen kill, hell he was only 10yds when I shot him. |
