jerodr, Thanks that sounds like what i am looking for, any improvemnt in power or MPG, what MPG do you get with this complete setup including Gryphon?

jerodr Fri, January 9th, 2009 08:13 PM

jfuller...Honestly I haven't had the gryphon long so it's hard to say about gas mileage. The only time I have driven outside the city with it to get a good gas mileage reading I was pulling my boat. However I did get noticeably better gas mileage pulling my boat around 15.5 on a 300 mile trip. Normally I would only get about 13.5. I'm not a pedal to the metal type of person, I'm more into 40 -70 power and I can definately say that with magnaflow exhaust + gryphon + k&n dropin= great highway and around town power over stock. You won't be disappointed that's for sure. Maybe tomorrow I can take some pics of the exhaust setup and put them in my album if you're interested.

I'm not psychic :crystal: or anything. I know this because I'm the one that gets those phone calls every day asking what we recommend. There are some standard things that Bill likes -- one of them being the Magnaflow SIDO exhaust. :2thumbs:

:2thumbs: ....that's what I got. Even after having for a 14 months, it still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. It may not be the absolute loudest but it's sound is intoxicating. :drool2:

Recommendations for Magnaflow

Bill,

I know what I've read, but what do you recommend best for HP & MPG in the Magnaflow line SI/SO or SI/DO on a 5.4L and should I run a 14" or 18" if running the SI/DO :matt-roloff: if you recommend the SI/SO, what 14" or 18". The only upgrade I have presently is K&N cai and it will be some time before I do anymore :(. It's my daily driver and my commute is 36mi round trip, do love the HP:cheesy smile: but would also like to keep or gain the MPG . Last, but not least, :fyi: will be upgrading my Edge Evo to Gryphon with 87 Perf. custom tune after all I've read on this great forum:) thanks to everyone for the info, I've learned alot.

One more thing

:) I'm increasing my wheel size to 37x12.5x17, what performance gains or loses should I expect with the Magnaflow upgrade and what sound differences will there be?

GSXRider :hmmm:
