Phoenix Flash startup error - run-time error '13'

I ran Phoenix Flash, input my Activation code, and then my registration info. Then I had to plug in the burner to get it to send the registration info. All seems to go fine at this point.

Then, I tried, "Refresh Cal List" (even though I know there are not any out there for me yet). I got "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch" error window and when I click "OK" the program exits.

Now, every time I run it, it quickly does "Retrieving Customer Information - Establishing Connection with Server" and then goes to "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch", clicking "OK" exits. Does this every time I run it now.

If I disconnect the laptop from the network, then it will start up without the error, but that's no fun, as then I can't check for calibrations.

Running Phoenix Flash v1.6.252 (according to the title bar), on Windows XP.

After - he got me the activation code, now I'm having this problem (though it's no rush, since I don't have any calibrations up to download yet anyway)

Thanks.

Update, same problem with 288 (which I managed to update to by starting Phoenix disconnected from the network, then connecting to the network and doing update). But as soon as I update the calibration list, or start up Phoenix Flash while connected to the internet, it stops with the 13 error.

I fixed the database entry on your account and it should be working correctly now. Let me know if it's working correctly now.

Thanks.

Still doing the same thing, when I run it.

But I'll try re-installing when I get home tonight and can re-license, and can plug in the burner. I'll let you know how that goes.

Thanks.

Same problem after a re-install (though it didn't have to re-activate - seems to remember that, even after uninstalling and re-installing).

Tried installing on my Vista64 desktop, but it won't let me activate (maybe because I already did on my laptop).

I uninstalled again on my laptop. Then cleaned out the registry of anything Phoenix, and then re-installed. Now, it wants to activate again, but it won't using the key that I used before. I get this error:

------------------------------
Application Error
------------------------------
Unable to locate Activation Data.

Please check to make sure that you have a stable internet connection and retry.

Please contact Power Hungry for further assistance.

What other computer you running?
Does the other one have vista on it also?
You may have to disable some things in your computer to get it to run right?

Most of PHP's programming runs the best on xp.
