Sold f150, now what with gryphon

Well, I just traded my gryphon for an explorer the other day. Now the question I have before I sell my custom tuner, how do I sell it? Can anyone reuse it or does it need to be returned to stock? It has 2 custom tunes and 1 canned one. I tried returning to stock via the fusion download, but it kept saying error and wouldnt let me run the program. Would the programmer work on certain f150s, none, or all?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Fusion has no idea what to do with a Gryphon. The part numbers are completely incompatible. You will have to use Pegasus to return the unit back to its original "canned" tuning. Simply do a standard update using the Gryphon Update Manager and all the standard files will be reloaded.

What year was the Gryphon originally for? 97-03 or 04-08? Let me know.

Take care.

Here's the link:

Follow the instructions for download and installation. Instead of using "Targeted Functions", use the "Gryphon Update Manager" to update your unit. This will reload the standard files back into the unit.

Let me know if you run into any problems.

Gators - Did I understand correctly that you traded your F150 for an Explorer?

If this is the case, Bill, can't the Gryphon be used in the Expy? I think if I were you Gators, I'd rather keep the Gryphon if I could still use it. (You'd need new custom tunes for the Expy, but that's all).

Jack,

yep, traded f150 for Ex, but its the v-6 model and for work purposes, needs to be left 100% stock. Atleast stock in terms of things that agency doesnt approve of, ie chips, cai, exhaust, etc.

OK, makes sense! Since there's always people looking for Gryphons, I can't imagine you'll have any difficulty selling it.
