and also i was looking at the form for the gryphon and i dont get these few things

1)pcm reflashed?
2)current displacement
3)comp ratio
4)maximum rpm
5)header primary diameter
6) exhaust pipe diameter
7)catalytic converter
8)h/x crossover pipe

9) rear gear ratio

what do i put for the level 1,2, and 3 thing?!?

please give me any help you can thanks a lot!

You order it then in about 5-10 business day it will show up with canned tunes.
It comes with canned tunes so you can get familiar with it until your custom tunes are written and you get an email and download them to the gryphon via your computer from pegasus PHP's server.
1. The pcm either has or hasn't. You can put a "?" In there or just say "don't know?".
2. 5.4L.
3. Stock.
4. Stock.
5-8. Deal with exhaust mods. If you just have a cat back or none put stock in the blanks.
9. Gear ratio.
You'll have to find it.
Its on the door sticker or axel tag.
Either 3.55 or 3.73.
10. Levels 1-3 is what custom tunes do you want in what position.
How many custom tunes are you going to order?
What octane gas do you want to run?
Hope this help:shrug:

There's a sticker you need to look for on the driver's door or jamb.
Look at this link: Vehicle Door Jamb Sticker Decoding Page for the axle code.
Look at this link: https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp for the VIN

:hehe:
He has a point about both parts. First there wont be a big enough difference between the 87 and 89. They will probably be almost carbon copies of each other. Also you never know when you will get put in a situation where you have to hook up and go. But if you dont want a custom tow you can just leave it at canned tow and save the money.

In the door jam on the driver's side there should be a yellow and white sticker. There should be an axle section and it will give you something like H9.

....And it looks like 88 just posted the same exact link I did so I'll get rid of mine. :hehe:

The 87+89 are the same tune with the timing bumped a little one way or another. It's when you jump up to 91+93 the AFR tables+strategies also change again.

Unleashedford Fri, February 12th, 2010 12:33 AM

so i just looked at the sites you sent me bro and it says H9 what ever that means? so how do i figure it out becuase you said it supposed to say 3.53 or 3.57 somthing like that right?....

but also what do you suggest i should get on the level tunes? if that what your saying

1) 87 tow
2) 87 performance
3) 91 performance ????

thanks for all the help you guys!!!

ohh and guys if this helps at all this is what i was looking at :)

Longshot270 Fri, February 12th, 2010 12:49 AM

H9 stands for for the 3.55 Limited Slip
And that lineup you have looks good.

Unleashedford Fri, February 12th, 2010 12:54 AM

thanks a lot you guys for all this help, few more questions if you guys dont mind

it also says flow rate: stock mod what do i put there

and also

on the bottom it says

Lift: in__ ex__ DUR: in__ ex__SEP__

underneath that it also says stall RPM or does that go with the torque converter

Power Hungry Fri, February 12th, 2010 03:09 AM

The section on lift is in regards to modified camshafts of which I'm sure you don't have.

Stall RPM is related to the converter and again, is only for modified components.

Basically, if you didn't change it or you don't know what it is... leave it blank. :2thumbs:

Take care.

Unleashedford Sat, February 13th, 2010 02:19 AM

hey bill or anyone whos knows this information

when ordering the custom gryphon do you guys ship out the gryphon right away with canned tunes..and later on email the custom ones so i can upload it or wait till your done with the custom tunes add it on then ship it out?

Power Hungry Sat, February 13th, 2010 04:48 AM

If you have any way of determining the calibration (HEX) code, we can send preloaded. In most cases though, the customer doesn't know what the code is and custom tunes will have to be downloaded later.

I can give you a call later today if that's okay. I was hammered on phones yesterday as Corey was out sick and I must have missed 100 phone calls. :(

Unleashedford Sat, February 13th, 2010 11:11 AM

ok i probable have no clue what your are talking about the whole calibration (hex) code thing.....so hopefully you can explain how this works...thanks bill

and please just give me a call when ever you can the sooner the better so i can know exactly how much i am spending because i have the money in my account

and my phone number is 818-399-2326 and i understand you guys have been extremely busy for a while and i greatly appreciate this!! thanks again!

When you get your Gryphon and plug it into the truck, the first thing you'll see is the truck's "HEX" code. Have a pencil and paper handy so you can write it down. Bill needs it to write your custom tunes. The HEX code is also called a "calibration" just to be confusing. You should also enter this calibration, and some other details in your User Profile.

Don't worry, it's all very easy.
